ABOUT AVALON II SLOTS

The sequel to one of Microgaming's most popular titles was rolled out in February 2014, some eight years since the launch of the original Avalon game. Themed on the legend of King Arthur, Avalon II has a mystical feel to it and it is home to well known characters such as Merlin, Lady of the Lake, Arthur, Guinevere, Morgan and Black Knight, whilst the holy grail is used to trigger the highly rewarding bonus round. HOW TO PLAY

Unlike its predecessor, Avalon II operates on a 243 Way Wins scheme, meaning three or more matching symbols on adjacent reels starting from the leftmost reel qualify for a payout. This is a great advantage considering players will only be wagering 30 coins per spin at bet level 1. You can stake up to five coins per line or up to 150 credits in total.

There are three available coin denominations: $0.01, $0.02 and $0.05. Spin or auto play start the game, whilst paytable can be accessed by clicking on 'View Pays'. Lady of the Lake is Wild and it substitutes for all non-Scatter icons, while it becomes Expanding Wild when it occurs anywhere on reel 3.

And while Merlin can award a cash prize or multipliers randomly during base play, the Grail Bonus has multiple levels and it leads to special features such as Lake of Legend, Misty Vale, Whispering Woods, Forest Falls, Dusky Moors, Morgan's Keep, Hall of Shadows and Isle of Avalon.

Bonus Round

Three or more Holy Grail Scatters appearing in any position trigger the Grail Bonus. The bonus round comes in eight stages, all coming with special perks and benefits such as free spins, cash prizes, multipliers, Trailing Wilds, Rolling Reels and more. Each time a stage is completed, the player returns to the main game and they qualify for the next stage once at least three Scatters occur on the reels. The bonus round starts with the Lake of Legend feature and ends with Isle of Avalon.

Scatter Symbol

It is only fair that the Holy Grail represents the Scatter symbol here, considering it is clearly the most desirable icon on the reels. While this particular symbol unlocks the Grail Bonus that has been known to award massive payouts, it also pays out Scatter wins. Get two, three, four or five Holy Grail icons in any position on the game screen and you will receive a payout equal to 1x, 5x, 20x and 100x your total bet.

Jackpot

Each time you unlock a new stage in the Grail Bonus, there will be plenty of bonus credits coming your way, but there are some nice prizes to be won in the main game as well.
