New Casino is to be Opening in Central New York

The Oneida Indian Nation plans to be opening a twenty million dollar casino in Chittenango, NY in 2015, this extension will expand the gaming empire as New York welcomes its first non-Indian casinos.
Officials for the Oneida Indian Nation state that they do not need the approval from any government in order to launch what will be known as the Yellow Brick Road Casino. This new Casino will encompass approximately 436 Vegas Style Slot Machines as well as a Bingo Hall located at the Tops in Chittenago Plaza which is on Route 5. This location is only five miles east of downtown Syracuse, NY.
The Oneida Indian Nation who is the owners of the extensive Turning Stone Casino and Resort located in Verona, NY has dominated the gaming empire in Central New York for the last two decades are planning to open this new casino in 2015.
The Oneida Indian Nation announced what their plans would be for opening this new Casino just four days following an announcement that a state panel suggested licensing three casinos which were non-Indian in Upstate New York area.
Thomas Wilmot who is a Rochester developer is planning to be the developer of one of the $425 Million dollar casino and hotels, which will be located just 42 miles west of Syracuse, NY in Seneca County. Wilmot has stated that his casino will give the Turning Stone a run for their money with its 85 gaming tables as well as 2,000 slot machines.
The Oneida Indian Nation Chittenango casino looks to be their first in many counter-punches in what promises to be a high-stakes fight for the gamblers’ dollars. At an extensive 67,000 square feet, this casino will still be less significant as well as being less flashy than Wilmot’s casino and resort proposal or the Turning Stone, but it will be located much closer to the Syracuse area.
