- September 12, 2016 By Samantha A. -
Legislators within the state of New Jersey are putting out a public vote for a referendum that will allow casinos that are within the Northern Part of New Jersey which will include one casino located at Meadowlands Racing located in East Rutherford, NJ.
Ralph Caputo the Assemblyman is all set to introduce a resolution that will in fact detail how the revenue from these casinos within North Jersey will be used if in fact the voters of the state approve gambling outside of the Atlantic City area.
However this referendum does not in fact state what the actual tax rate would be for these casinos in the northern part of New Jersey if the voters approve of it.
The voters will be deciding to approve or not approve up to two casinos within the Northern area of New Jersey during the November 8th general election. The question that is in fact balloted is that the new casinos must in fact be located in separate counties and at the minimum of 72 miles away from Atlantic City. This is in fact where a total of four casinos closed their doors in the year of 2014, as well as the Trump Taj Mahal is set to close its doors in October of 2016.
Fortifying A.C. in fact requires the expansion of gaming stated Jeffery Gural.
Clarity as well as Transparency is a very critical essential for the residents as well as all parties that are involved within this North Jersey debate, especially as the November election date moves closer stated Caputo. There have been many different opinions stated regarding this issue, these opinions included positive as well as negative. It is still very important that Legislators intentions for any monies that come from these casinos is stated very clear as well as definitively.
