ABOUT ARRIVAL SLOTS

When we first fired up Arrival, we did not expect to see a fully voice acted, animated lead in into the slot. But Betsoft decided they were going all out, and that introduction set quite a high standard in our eyes to follow up on. The game is a 5 reel, 30 payline slot with wins that come often, and the one that breaks tradition by getting rid of the standard Wilds entirely.

As an intergalactic officer of the law, you need to rescue your partner from the clutches of the evil alien who captured her. To accompany its newest release, Betsoft created an entirely unique set of symbols to go along with the slot. So you will find a planet with rings, a big-eyed alien pet, a ray gun, a target aiming at earth, a space Marine badge, a spaceship, the space marine girl, and your very own space marine protagonist.

HOW TO PLAY

The first thing we noticed about the interface is that it is clunky. The reels are set as a giant computer screen through which the alien monitors the hero’s progress. And while everything is cleanly visible, the choice of font and colour just tend to throw you off until you get a little bit used to it.

But regardless, there are many options for you to tweak here. You can select your coin value, how many coins are active on a payline, and how many of the 30 paylines you want active in the first place. This means that Arrival is playable for as little as $0.02 up to $75 each time you spin the reels.

It is worth to note that alongside having wins come often, getting three Ray gun symbols will trigger a flat out cash prize. The ray guns will transform into UFOs, and clicking on them will give you a certain amount of money.

OTHER FEATURES

As mentioned before, Betsoft’s newest release lacks in a traditional Wild, and it instead comes from one of the free spins bonuses.

Bonus Round

Arrival has two different bonus rounds depending on which symbols appear on the reels. Three or more of the alien icon will trigger the Abduction Wild bonus, which gives you a certain number of free spins, and transforms an entire row of symbols into a Wild.

Alternatively, three or more icons of the female space marine will activate the other bonus round. You are taken to another screen, where you aid the marine by pressing buttons to rescue his partner, and if you do it successfully, you score a big win afterwards.

Scatter Symbol

Usually a game is satisfied with just one Scatter, but Betsoft’s sci-fi slot has three. Each one triggers a different bonus – one which replaces your entire reel with Wilds, another which gives you a mini-game for a cash prize, and a third that will let you pick UFOs to win money.

Jackpot

The big wins of this slot will more than likely come from the bonus rounds, as the amount you could earn from them can be quite decent. At your luckiest, you are looking at a win of $30,000, or 60,000 coins.
