The upbeat tribal music in the background helps sell the theme of the game, while the symbols themselves are fairly lacklustre in comparison. The paytable is split into lower and higher paying icons. The lower bracket features standard card symbols, which include 10, J, Q, K and A. The higher paying icons include the five humans from the King Kong story, which are more rare, but bring larger wins.

Wilds can replace any symbol except the Scatter, and can appear on all reels. However, on reel three in specific, it can expand to cover the whole reel so long as it ensures a win happens. Scatters take on the shape of King Kong himself, and allow you a choice between different free spin bonuses.

HOW TO PLAY

The user interface in Mighty Kong is nicely done. Top Game uses the same one they use in all their other slots, and thanks to the half transparent look, it manages to fit in, allowing you to focus on the reels and the gorgeous jungle backdrop, complete with an animated waterfall.

Playable for as little as $0.50 up to $250, this game works to appeal to both low rollers and more profit orientated players. There is a large potential to go above what you wagered, as you can get up to x1000 your total bet, and that is without discussing the special features in Mighty Kong.

We liked the Autoplay option, though it was a bit lacklustre when compared to some other slots. It lacks a few features we have come to expect as the default, such as being able to set loss limits or to stop when a bonus is activated.

OTHER FEATURES

Bonus Round

Three or more Scatter wins activate the free spins bonus, but unlike most other games in the genre, Mighty Kong gives you the choice to pick between four types of bonus rounds. 40 free spins with a x1 multiplier, 13 free spins with a x3 multiplier, 8 free spins with an x5 multiplier and finally 5 free spins with an x8 multiplier. For us, the middle option with 13 free spins tends to work best, so we recommend trying that out.

Scatter Symbol

Despite the impressive King Kong symbol, Scatters really do not offer much beyond activating the above mentioned free spins. It feels like a bit of a waste, but considering how much of a game changer that special feature can be, we understand why Top Game decided to restrict Scatters.

Jackpot

The largest win, not counting for the increased multipliers is $250,000, by getting the red-haired woman five times in a row. With the x8 multiplier, you could reach well above that number if you were lucky enough, but it will take some extraordinary luck to pull it off.
