- May 15, 2017 By Samantha A. -
The Multibillion dollar Resort and Casino project that is being constructed on the strip within Las Vegas has been delayed for another year. This casino and resort is being constructed in order to cater to the city’s Chinese-American and Chinese tourist. This huge announcement came on Wednesday.
Overhaul of Original Design
Edward Farrell who is the casino executive and in charge of the 4 billion dollar, 3,000 room Casino-Resort project stated that the new delayed opening date is a direct result of an overhaul of the initial design that was meant to attract many younger gamblers.
The initial plans for the casino consisted of a lot of traditional, older Chinese elements and architecture. Since than the company has taken a really good look at the market within the Las Vegas area within these past few years, and the market has made a really big shift to something that is much more modern. In other words the market is calling for a design that is much more Shanghai than a Beijing with more technology and a more modern look and feel.
The plans for the new casino that is being constructed on the northern end of the Las Vegas strip included 100 thousand square foot casino area, with multiple dining options that included Asian cuisine as well as many rental spaces.
Initial Date of 2016

Steve Sisolak the Clark County commission chairman stated that there were many stops and starts along the way with this project, but from the meeting that was held he is very confident that the project is on its way to moving forward.
