Microgaming has recently expanded its portfolio by adding a fresh and entertaining new slot called Poke the Guy.

Poke the Guy gameplay is unusual for a slot game, resembling simple Flash games, especially since it doesn’t have reels or paylines to help you get the winning combinations.

Just Hit the Guy

It all comes down to chasing the Guy, who has been terrorizing the city for some time. He looks weird wearing a yellow suit and showing a lot of hair on his chest and face.

Players need to hit the silly Guy with various weapons – such as ice-creams, knives, a lethal piranha or rubber duckies – to score points.

The size of the wager ranges from $0.05 to $30, while each weapon represents a different bet value. So, when you choose the bet size, you’ll consequently choose the weapon.

The slot is set in a Las Vegas style city, with a lot of different buildings such as the Eiffel Tower, Egyptian pyramids, Mt. Rushmore and the Sphinx. The weird guy will just jump around the screen, while you’ll try to hit him in the face by clicking the slingshot (aka the Spin button).

No Reels, No Features? No Problem

The slot is totally random; weapons will be fired at random; payouts will be awarded at random as well. This means you can hit the jackpot at any time.

If you manage to hit your target, the wins can be multiplied up to 500 times the triggering bet.

Although it is fresh and new, the game can become boring very quickly due to its monotonous gameplay which offers no bonus games, or any other special features which would make Poke the Guy interesting on a long-term basis.
