Ben Affleck Banned From Yet Another Gambling Establishment
- June 12, 2014 By Nemanja L. -
Famous Hollywood movie star Ben Affleck’s reputation as an advantaged player has seen him thrown out of yet another brick and mortar casino, according to the latest reports.
The world-famous actor has been allegedly asked to stop gambling at the Caesar Windsor Hotel and Casino in Ontario after spending mere twenty minutes at the tables on 31 May.
A source has told Star Magazine that the actor was staking $5,000 per hand at the high rollers table, but the security found out he was there after about twenty minutes and asked Affleck to leave the casino.
Affleck seems to be getting accustomed to the treatment having been also banned from gambling at various establishments in Las Vegas back in April for reportedly counting cards while playing blackjack.
The 41-year-old was caught counting cards at the Hard Rock Cafe in Last Vegas and was subsequently marked as an advantaged player by various other Las Vegas casinos.
About Card Counting
Card counting is a strategy primarily used in Blackjack games and it is designed to lower the house edge and give the player an advantage over the casino.
By keeping track of high and low value cards that have been seen, the player can decide to bet more when he expects the cards to favour him or bet less when the odds are stacked against him.
The strategy is not deemed illegal, but casinos have the option to ban a player from gambling if they suspect he has been using this tactics to gain an advantage over the casino.
Jennifer Garner Fed Up With Affleck’s Gambling Habit
Star Magazine is reporting that his wife Jennifer Garner has become increasingly frustrated by Affleck’s gambling exploits and she went on to cancel a family trip to Detroit.
The famous actress had been embarrassed by her hubby’s incident in Las Vegas and she appears to have been upset by his latest gambling spree as well.
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have been married for nine years, with the pair having had started dating a year earlier after co-starring in blockbuster Daredevil.
