Forget everything you know about slots, because the new Betsoft's release – Birds! – is going to blow you away with an interface you've never seen before. This game is not only incredibly wacky and adorable, it's also full of super-fun twists and elaborate special features.

First of all, Birds! takes away one of the signature feature's in a slot – reel spinning. Instead of that, the birds that represent the symbols are standing on wires and flying away whenever you hit Spin and new birds are taking their places. There are no less than 10 different birds on the “reels” with the 11th one being a colourful Wild Bird. Each one has a different characteristic and animation, such as listening to music, “combing” its feathers, standing on one leg, etc. On top of that, you will enjoy a funny little tune playing in the background the whole time.

HOW TO PLAY

Don't let the absence of reels confuse you. Birds! Actually has fairly traditional rules of play. There are 5 reels and a standard interface with regular Spin, Autoplay and Maxbet buttons.
However, there are some twists in the base game. For starters, there are no paylines which makes this a chain reaction game. It means that any combination of 3 or more matching symbols vertically or horizontally anywhere on the reels brings a reward. Also, there is a Double Up button that allows you to gamble your payout double or nothing after each win.

Finally, every winning combination triggers the winning symbols to fly away, and new ones to fly in, leaving much room for a series of wins.

EXTRA FEATURES

Birds! Really has impressive graphics, but the special features add that little extra to the game that makes it one of the best we've seen in a while. Here's what you can expect to see.

Bonus Round

This game doesn't have an actual bonus round, but it does have free spins, or in this case – Free Flights. And, more importantly, it has a very creative ways of winning them. As we already mentioned, every winning combination means the birds of that combination will fly away giving way to the new ones. Each new winning combination in that sequence boils the water in the tube on the left side of the interface.

Once you reach 4 wins in a row, the egg on top of the tube will hatch and you will be awarded from 8 to 21 and even more Free Flights depending on the number of wins in a row.
