ABOUT LOST VEGAS SLOTS
Lost Vegas is Microgaming’s newest release, set in the famous city of Las Vegas after the zombie apocalypse ran its course. With 5 reels and 243 paylines, take on a journey through the hordes of undead as a survivor or choose to be a zombie and infect the whole world. The choice does not make a huge difference. It is mostly a graphical change, and the Free Spins bonus will be slightly different. In addition, the game can randomly trigger a Blackout special feature, or a Zombie Fist of Cash.
The game’s backdrop is set in the ruins of Las Vegas as a zombie, and inside one of its many casinos as survivors. The symbols are a mixture of standard icons and unique ones drawn for the game itself. Lower paying symbols will include 10, J, Q, K, and A, while higher paying icons include different portraits of survivors or zombies, depending on which game mode you are playing.
HOW TO PLAY
The game has a standard 5 reel set up with 243 ways to pay. The slot allows you to adjust your wager, as it can range from $0.30 to $45 per reel spin. Lost Vegas also has an Autoplay option, which has decent customisation, but not anything spectacular.
Wilds will be a welcome sight in this slot. While being an integral part of securing wins, Wilds pays very little by themselves. Instead, their cash bonus is more useful as a supplement, to add on alongside wins they help complete.
OTHER FEATURES
Lost Vegas loves to shower you with little bonuses, and it certainly shows. To break up the monotony of constant loss, the game will randomly give you a cash bonus, called the Zombie Fist of Cash.
Another bonus the slot has is the Blackout feature. If you have one Scatter on the reel, you have a chance to trigger it. When it activates, it will identify all high paying symbols and cash them in, which can be a nice boost when you’re on a losing streak.
Bonus Round
Activated by lining up three Scatters, the Free Spins in this game change depending on if you are playing as survivors or zombies.
The survivors bonus will take the lower paying icons in the game and stash them away. Lost Vegas will keep the free spins going until all the low paying symbols are stashed, and you get a stash prize at the end of the bonus round.
The zombie special feature infects reels. When a reel is infected, it will turn single Wilds into full-reel Wilds, and free spins continue until either all five reels are infected, or 50 bonus spins pass. If you manage to survive 50 free spins, you get an additional prize.
Scatter
Scatters in this game are represented with a hazard symbol. Other than being used to activate the bonus round and blackout features, Scatters are a high value icon on the reels, bringing huge wins by themselves.
Jackpot
Lost Vegas’ jackpot comes from Scatters alone. The game limits your winnings at $97,000, even though crunching numbers you should be able to go above that. Regardless, it will take substantial luck, and the fastest way to the biggest win is to play at max wager and score 5 Scatters.
LOST VEGAS ON MOBILE
In what is perhaps an interesting turn of events, the mobile version of this game gives you a much clearer look on the gorgeous backdrops present in Lost Vegas than the desktop version does.
Other than that, there is nothing else to comment. Animations and gameplay are functionally the same, and only changes come from the interface.
