666BET Strikes FA Cup Sponsorship Deals with Six Non-league Clubs
- November 10, 2014 By Nemanja L. -
Up-and-coming sports betting operator 666Bet has made a new attempt to improve the company’s profile by teaming up with six non-league clubs in England ahead of the 2014/2015 FA Cup campaign.
666Bet’s Super Six clubs include Conference South sides Basingstoke Town, Gosport Borough and Weston Super Mare, Conference North club AFC Fylde, East Thurrock United from the Ryman Isthmian Premier and Northern Premier League Division One South’s Norton United.
The sponsorship agreement will see four teams display 666Bet logos on the front of their match kits whilst Basingstoke Town and Weston Super Mare players will wear the logos on their shorts. The deals will be in effect as long as the six sides are in the FA Cup competitions, so no wonder the gaming operator is hoping to see their Super Six add to the FA Cup magic by creating some shocks.
“666Bet is proud to be involved in football across all levels of the beautiful game.” CEO Barry Martin said in a statement. “We are looking forward to seeing the ‘666Bet Super Six’ in action this weekend and hope they can pull off a few shocks in the FA Cup first round.”
While the likes of Fylde, East Thurrock United, Gosport Borough and Norton United lost their first round ties, Basingstoke Town did well to earn a replay with AFC Telford, whereas Weston Super Mare play host to Championship side Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday.
While obviously paying big attention to England’s top tiers like their competitors, 666Bet has opted for a risky strategy of also covering the country’s minor leagues and they believe this move will help them quickly increase the customer base.
Harry Redknapp and Vas Blackwood Brand Ambassadors for 666Bet
Despite launching in June 2014, the online gaming operator has already been making waves in a highly competitive industry, having struck sponsorship deals with West Bromwich Albion, Leicester City and Leyton Orient, while employing QPR manager Harry Redknapp and famous actor Ves Blackwood as the brand ambassadors.
The company clearly believes an aggressive marketing strategy is a must if they are to successfully compete with established sports bookmakers, and their efforts have so far yielded great results.
666Bet sent shockwaves down the gambling industry as they celebrated its launch by offering mind-blowing 1966/1 odds on England to win the 2014 World Cup to first 1,966 customers and they have continued to make headlines for attractive promotions and lucrative sponsorship deals.
