Bodog Expands to Central and South America
- February 9, 2017 By Riley Wilson -
Canadian online gambling operator Bodog is expanding its business operations to Central and South America in a move that will quintuple the number of countries in which the brand is present.
Currently, the services of the company founded in 1994 are available in four countries – Canada, United States, China and Vietnam.
The ambitious expansion will officially be executed on February 15 after which the brand will be available to online gamblers in additional 16 countries.
Bodog and Bovada Enter New Markets
The news of the Bodog market offensive was announced by Betting Partners, the affiliate marketing partner of the Antigua and Barbuda registered firm. As of February, Bodog and Bodog-powered Bovada brand will become available throughout Latin America.
Bodog will launch in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Columbia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, México, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Peru and Venezuela.
Bovada brand, which is at this time available only in the United States, is going south of the Rio Grande and will be available to Mexican customers as well. This country is a very interesting market, with lots of global brands already present there, but the services and the exclusivity of Bovada will surely attract many high rollers.
The Bodog entry to Latin America will be quite interesting, especially in terms of liquidity, which will definitely be boosted by the players from newly available markets.
Bodog Keeping Their Affairs Secret
However, an exact number of Bodog players still remains a well hidden secret. This secretive policy of the company has gotten them into a row with Poker Scout, the world’s leading poker-traffic tracking site.
The feud culminated in 2014, when Bodog accused PokerScout founder of extorting money. Allegedly, Dan Steward demanded $1 million not to put Bodog’s numbers on his site, although many argue he could have gotten the real info on number of players.
Bodog is not listed on PokerScout and not even a single mention of it could be found on their pages. The most important thing for Bodog is that their data remains safe and out of sight.
As mentioned earlier, Bodog was founded in 1994 and quickly established itself as a leader in online gambling operations, offering their players with an unparalleled gaming experience.
