Microgaming has just announced the launch of its latest online slot.

The game is titled Sherlock of London, and as its name suggests its main protagonist is the most famous detective in the world, Sherlock Holmes.

This fresh release has been developed exclusively for Microgaming by Rabcat, the game studio behind games such as Castle Builder II and Crystal Rift.

Punters can look forward to an exciting 5-reel 3-row video slot with 25 paylines that will take them to the Victorian London where they’ll team up with Sherlock and his trusty companion Dr. Watson.

Set in a beautifully-designed metropolis, the two crimefighters will pursue the city’s most wanted. A number of potentially lucrative features is on offer, including a line-up of connecting Wilds, double wins and bonus spins.

Sherlock himself is the game’s Wild symbol, substituting for other icons on the reels and helping players complete additional winning combinations.

Landing more than one Wild will connect all of them, turning other symbols on the path into connecting Wilds. If two Wilds appear adjacent, they will merge to trigger the double win feature, doubling all line wins made from that spin.

Plenty of Chances to Win

Landing a Wild on the reel 1 or 2 can trigger one or even two bonus spins. While this feature is active, the triggering Wild will stay locked in its position while other symbols spin again.

Sherlock and Dr. Watson appear as expanding Wilds and extra Wilds in the Free Spins round. To activate this feature simply land at least three Scatter symbols and you’ll start the round with 10 spins. Landing additional three Scatters will retrigger the bonus, awarding another 10 spins.
