Microgaming Expands Its Portfolio with New Volatile Slot
- November 12, 2019 By Riley Wilson -
Microgaming has announced the launch of the latest addition to its extensive portfolio of slot games, which comes as part of a new partnership deal with Golden Rock Studios.
Led by James Curwen and Will Mathieson, gaming industry veterans, this independent game studio is headquartered in the United Kingdom, and thanks to the latest deal it will have the chance to offer its content through Microgaming’s platform.
An Impressive Debut
The first game developed exclusively for Microgaming is titled Volatile Slot, bringing a standard five-reel three-row layout with 10 active lines, and a plethora of exciting and potentially lucrative features, including two game modes and a Free Spins bonus round.
This fresh release also boasts two different types of Wilds – volcanic Wilds and exploding Wilds. The former which appears only on the three middle reels, substitute for all other regular symbols, helping players complete additional winning combinations. They can even turn into the exploding Wild, awarding neat multipliers of up to 4x.
Land more than one exploding Wild to further increase the size of the multiplier. That’s done by multiplying the initial multiplier by each exploding Wild on the grid, meaning its size can go up to 64x.
Exploding Prizes
Once the thrilling Free Spins round is activated, punters will be awarded a minimum of 10 spins. The round will commence with an enhanced reel set, while more volcanic and exploding Wilds appearing on the reels promise plenty of excitement and chances to scoop handsome prizes.
You can enjoy the new game at any Microgaming-powered online casino.
Commenting on the launch of the new game, Jean-Luc Ferriere Chief Commercial Officer at Microgaming pointed out that Golden Rock Studios were set to broad the company’s range with fresh and diverse content. He said Volatile Slot was an impressive debut title and added it was available across Microgaming’s entire customer base following two weeks of exclusivity with LeoVegas.
James Curwen CEO at Golden Rock Studios stated his company was proud to team up with Microgaming and said they were looking forward to providing them with many more games in the coming months.
