Empire Resorts who are the owners as well as operators of the Montreign Casino and Resort has already been approved by the gaming commission within New York to go ahead with the discussion about a branding agreement with the company known as Resorts World which is based out of Malaysia.
In a very short report that was filed with the United Stated Securities & Exchange Commission on November 18th, 2016, the publicly traded Empire notified their investors that this is in fact in conversation with the associates of Kien Huat Reality in order to use the company Resort World logo for this Montreign project. Empire’s largest stockholder is in fact Kien Huat as well as being part of the Genting Group which actually owns the company Resorts World.
The Company Resorts World actually owns resort & casinos all across the United Kingdom, Asia, as well as many locations within New York City and the Bahamas. They are also planning a 4 billion dollar casino resort that will be located in Las Vegas. Each of these sites have the name brand of “Resorts World.”
The executive Vice President of Empire Resorts, Charlie Degliomini has declined to go deep in detail about the discussions on branding, but did state that Resorts world was a gold standard within the industry.
In divergence to Resorts World immense international existence, Empire also retains the Monticello Casino & Raceway that is just a few minutes away from this new Montreign project, and this new project is in fact by far the largest project that the company has seen.
At this point in time no agreement between Resorts World as Empire have been finalized, and the Executive Vice President could not offer any insight on a timeline for any of these changes to be made.
