NetEnt and Peter Scudamore Working on a New Video Slot
- November 6, 2018 By Riley Wilson -
For years now, developers of online gaming content have been using commercial partnerships, and this has become a standard practice in the industry.
Thanks to these deals, a number of video slots have been launched based on popular TV shows, film franchises, comic books, music artists and more.
From Racecourse to Reels
The latest one covers sport, which is up to a point, one of the lesser explored areas, and we owe it all to one of the biggest names in the industry, the Sweden-based supplier of video slots, NetEnt.
According to available information, NetEnt is getting ready to launch a brand-new game, a horse racing video slot which will be done in cooperation with one of the icons of this sport, legendary jockey Peter Scudamore.
The famous Briton is one of the best-known jockeys in the world, an eight-time Champion Jockey, riding 1,678 winning horses during his prolific career that lasted for a decade and a half.
Now, the renowned developer will use Scudamore’s vast expertise, and make him a star of his very own video slot game, titled Scudamore’s Super Stakes. At this moment, there is no detailed information on the game itself, and very few details have been revealed apart from the fact the upcoming video slot will go live somewhere during the 2018/19 National Hunt Season.
NetEnt Loves Bringing Popular Franchises to Life
The launch of the game was announced by Bryan Upton, one of the executives of NetEnt’s game product division. Commenting on the upcoming game, Upton said that Scudamore’s Super Stakes would mark the first time in the history of the Swedish brand, that a video slot had been developed together with a sporting personality.
NetEnt has an extensive portfolio of video slot games, including a number of titled developed based on popular franchises. The list of these slots includes Guns N’ Roses, Motörhead, Jimi Hendrix, Jumanji, and Planet of the Apes.
In addition to Scudamore’s Super Stakes, NetEnt will launch games based on the acclaimed TV shows Narcos and Vikings. Their arrival in the market is expected next year.
