NetEnt Further Expands US Presence Signing the Churchill Downs Deal for New Jersey iGaming Market
- October 17, 2018 By Oliver Young -
NetEnt AB, the leading online casino games and gaming solutions developer, is further expanding its presence in the US by signing a “customer agreement” with Churchill Downs Incorporated. This deal will help NetEnt expand their presence in the New Jersey iGaming market, following months of successful operation in the state.
The agreement will deliver an exclusive portfolio of NetEnt’s mega-popular online games to Churchill Downs Incorporated, the largest online betting operator in the US, known for its epic horseracing event, the Kentucky Derby.
NetEnt’s Current Presence in the US
After years of ruling in the European iGaming market, NetEnt has started expanding in the US. As several of the US states have a regulated market, including Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey, NetEnt saw an opportunity and refused to deny it.
That is why recently NetEnt has applied for a gaming license in Pennsylvania and is looking forward to going live in Pennsylvania as soon as the market opens.
In addition, they have applied for a gambling license in New Jersey, some time ago, and they have been granted with the transactional waiver to deliver games to several online gambling operators in the state. So far, NetEnt has had a great success in New Jersey and they are eager to continue their growth in the state anytime an opportunity arises.
By continuously monitoring the development and the situation of regulatory matters in the US, NetEnt expressed their intent to launch their products on any US market, providing the conditions are reasonable. They always look to partner with companies which will share the common mission of providing online casino players with an exciting gaming experience.
It was only matter of time for NetEnt to announce an agreement with the state’s largest online betting operator, Churchill Downs. Churchill Downs has already entered the New Jersey sports betting and iGaming market, courtesy of the agreement with Golden Nugget and has a strategic partnership with SBTech which enables the company to operate in New Jersey, but in Mississippi and Pennsylvania, as well.
NetEnt’s Statement
The Managing Director for NetEnt Americas LLC subsidiary, Erik Nyman in a brief press release in British Columbia, where NetEnt recently struck a similar supply agreement, said that the partnership with Churchill Downs Incorporated will be of significant importance since the company is a giant online betting operator.
Nyman is positive that the new agreement will make NetEnt expand its presence in New Jersey, and added that they are really excited to start delivering their popular titles to Churchill Downs Incorporated. Nyman is confident that NetEnt will contribute more to the online casino growth for Churchill Downs Incorporated.
Churchill Downs’ Declaration
The President of the Churchill Downs Interactive subordinate Ian Williams said that they’re looking forward to adding NetEnt’s Gonzo’s Quest, Jumanji, and the insanely popular Starburst titles to their offers and provide players with the absolute best online gaming experience.
He additionally said that they have no doubt that these games will instantly become players’ favorites since they have seen success in any other market they have been distributed to.
