NetEnt Is the Ultimate Three-Award Winner at the Southern European Gaming Awards Ceremony
- November 13, 2019 By Oliver Young -
We are all witnesses of NetEnt’s hard work. The developer tries to stay at the frontline of the industry, creating the most amazing online slots and Live Casino games. At the beginning of October, it launched its new Perfect Blackjack Live casino game, expanding its Live Casino offering. Towards the end of it, it released the horror-themed slot The Wolf’s Bane, just in time for Halloween.
But of course, these are only some of its latest releases. NetEnt surprises its fans with a new title every single month, and sometimes even with a few. That being said, it should come as no surprise that it won three awards at the prestigious ceremony organized by the European Gaming Congress, the Southern European Gaming Awards.
NetEnt Wins Three Southern European Gaming Awards
NetEnt won three awards at the Southern European Gaming Awards ceremony, which took place in the capital of Italy, Milan, on the 8th of November. The multi-award-winning developer has been shortlisted in several categories and scooped the awards in three of them.
The Southern European Gaming Awards, if you’re not familiar with it, is a ceremony that started giving recognition to industry’s operators, developers and connected service providers last year. In its second year, it welcomed representatives of the industry at the Radisson Blu Hotel Milan.
The actual nominations period started in July, the 15th, and lasted until August, the 31st. Then the online voting process began. It lasted from September the 16th until October, the 13th. The envelope style voting that determined the final results took place on the day of the event, November the 8th.
Now, there were 26 categories in total, 6 of which were for casino software providers. The 6 categories were Best Mobile Casino Provider, Best Slots Provider, Online Casino Innovator, Rising Star in Online Casino Technology, Best Live Casino Provider, and Best Online Casino Provider. There were 4 connected categories with awards that could’ve been won by both B2B and B2C providers. These were Best Support for Responsible Gambling, Best iGaming Service Provider, Best Testing Laboratory and Best Overall Payment Service Provider.
NetEnt was shortlisted in the first two casino categories, for which it did not win an award, but also in the last two casino categories, for which it was crowned as the winner. This means that NetEnt scooped the Best Live Casino Provider and Best Online Casino Provider. And while it was not shortlisted for the Rising Star in Online Casino Technology and the Online Casino Innovator, it was shortlisted in one of the connected categories. In addition to the two casino awards, NetEnt also won the connected award for Best Support for Responsible Gambling.
NetEnt Proudly Presented Its New Awards
In its official press release, NetEnt admitted that the new awards were a testament to the company’s marked success over the last 12 months, with revolutionary releases that continued to raise the standards of slots and Live Casino offerings, but also NetEnt’s commitment to better protect players with innovative responsible gambling tools.
Henrik Fagerlund, NetEnt’s Managing Director of Malta said that everyone at NetEnt was delighted to be taking home three esteemed awards after what was a commemorative year for the company in Southern Europe. He ended its statement saying that NetEnt’s achievements in progressing its Live Casino and online slots portfolio, along with its responsible gambling tools, were all thanks to its teams’ dedication and talent, adding that it was awesome that all the hard work has been recognized at such a high level.
