Nominations for Global Gaming Awards London 2022 Are Now Open
- October 21, 2021 By Riley Wilson -
The next installment of the Global Gaming Awards will be held in January 2022. The window for operators and gambling service providers to self-nominate themselves or their products and services is now open!
2021 was an exciting year in iGaming despite the ongoing pandemic, and the competition for the prestigious award will be fierce.
Gaming Awards for the EMEA Market
The Global Gaming Awards, or GGA, are one of the most respected awards ceremonies in the industry. GGA appears in several forms every year, each time focusing on a different market. The first 2021 awards ceremony was held in Las Vegas in early October 2021, focusing on the North American market. This next set of awards is aimed at the EMEA markets (Europe, Middle East, Africa.)
The ceremony will be held on Monday, January 31st, during the ICE London week. With 15 categories spanning various sectors of the industry, the strongest performers from the past year will be rewarded based on the judgments of a panel of industry experts.
Self-Nominations Until 10 November
Pretty much any licensed operator is free to put up their work as a nomination. This year, there will be 15 GGA London categories. Awards will be handed to the 2021’s best:
- Betting Shop Operator
- Online Sports Betting Operator
- Retail Supplier
- Online Sports Betting Supplier
- Casino
- Online Casino
- Casino Supplier
- Online Casino Supplier
- Casino Product
- Payment Solution
- Services Provider
- Product Launch
- Affiliate Program
- Social Responsibility
- Executive of the Year
All in all, we can’t wait to see the results, and rumors are already circulating regarding potential winners. That said, the full list of nominees will not be available before mid-November, so we’ll have to be patient.
Despite all the setbacks, we’ve seen quite a lot of innovation and improvement in the industry this year.
Julian Perry, Editor-in-Chief of the Gambling Insider (the publication that powers the GGA), remarked:
“After hosting our Las Vegas Awards in-person last week, we are thrilled to start planning the return of the Global Gaming Awards London.
“The gaming industry in Europe and beyond thrived in the past 12 months despite all the lockdowns, and our London Awards will recognise all those companies who did not slow down and kept innovating.”
